Look! I am finally blogging! Yay!
I hope everyone had a great Easter! I have some pictures that I am going to try and post if I can get my phone and itunes to play nice!
We had Easter on Monday. It rained all day Sat. and so they canceled the egg hunt we were going to on Sunday because it was too soggy still. The Easter bunny brought my kids sand pails filled with beach towels, flip flops, sunglasses, swim goggles and pool toys (all Disney themed of course!) He also sprinkled in a healthy dose of candy! After a little egg hunt at home, we went to Milburn Orchards for an egg hunt, candy scramble, a bunch of farm type activities (it was so cute...they had real live bunnies hopping around!) and a hay ride. The kids had a blast!
We are gearing up for our trip to Disney next week! I am so super excited! I have always wanted to go, and I am glad we are going while the kids are still young enough to be amazed by the characters and princess' and all that! I can't wait to see Z's face when she meets the real Cinderella! We are taking her to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique where Fairy Godmothers in training will do her hair and makeup, and get her into a gown just in time for her lunch at the castle with Cinderella...how magical is that??? (don't worry Mr. J will get his turn the next day at the T-rex cafe!)
I got a spray tan last week!! I wanted to test it out before vacation so that I was sure I wouldn't look like an oompa loompa in all our photos! It was awesome!! Why the heck have I been going to the gym?? If you want to look like you lost 10 lbs. jut go have someone hose you down with some faux sun!!!
That's really all I've got for now! How lame is that for my first post in a few weeks? Easter buckets and a spray tan...wow! My life is exciting!
I'm going to try and figure out why my pictures won't get on to my computer...

I've Got Nothin'!!!

I feel bad that I have been a lazy blogger! Sorry! I wish I had a good excuse, but I don't!
My mom wants me to post some more pics. of the kids, and I am going to do that later tonight.(she's all gimpy with at badly sprained ankle. She is complaining about having to lay on the couch all week and watch TV...I don't know about the rest of you, but to me that sounds like heaven on Earth!!)
I don't really have much to blog about, so I am just going to bore the heck out of you! Sorry in advance, and if you only make it this far in, than I completely understand!
We went to the Saint Patricks parade in DC, and when it started raining pretty heavy we just walked up the steps we were standing on and went to the Museum of Natural History (along with every other human being in DC apparently). J and Z had a blast checking out the exhibits (J could look at the dinosaur bones all day, and Z being the girly she is, loved the room with the hope diamond!) We have been before, but it's the kind of place you can go to over and over and still not see everything! While we were there we also went to the 3-D imax show Dinosaurs which was sooooo awesome! J and Z kept reaching out and trying to grab the 3-D stuff, and both jumped a million times because they thought a dinosaur was headed straight for them! They loved it! The best thing about DC is that everything (other than the spy and wax museum) is free, but looks like it should be expensive! Even the National zoo is free!
Tomorrow Z has to preform a poem in front of the kindergarten classes and parents. She chose an A.A. Milne (one of my fav. authors ever) one called "Now We Are Six" from the book of the same name. She has it down pat, and I just hope she doesn't get stage fright and freeze! It should be cute though!
I am a super dooper over planner, and have been busy planing everything Disney! (I have a spreadsheet people...with formulas...what category of crazy does that put me in!) We leave in a little over a month and to pass the time I am making us matching tees, activity and autograph books for the kids, a journal for Z, envelops for "mousekeeping" and even labels for our stroller and bags! I am probably spending more on ink than I did on the trip! Oh well, it's fun!
We have to go shopping for a little girl whose party Z is going to tomorrow, so dinner tonight is either California Tortilla, or take out from the Cheesecake Factory. I don't have it figured out beyond that!
The latest downloads on my ipod are Gives you hell, Let it rock, Womanizer (I know lame...I have Brittany Spears on my ipod) Shine Down, and Just Dance.
Brenda- Who are your AI picks?? I am all about Gokey and that guy who plays the piano (not the blind one, the other one)
Tara- I need your Lost theories...WTH is going on with that island?!

I need a nap!

So we got over 7" of snow and have been snow playing fools!!!
(stop laughing Brenda...7" is a lot of snow 'round here!)
These pictures are actually from the last time we got snow, but I just ran four continuous miles ( I usually run a mile and then walk for 5 minutes) and now I am too lazy to go and get the cord to download the pictures from my phone. So you'll just have to trust me for now when I say we are one hot pack of sledders!

Z got to go to the White house yesterday! I am not quite sure she grasps what an amazing opportunity it was. When I asked her about it she told me that she got and apple and liked the red room. She was also quite excited that they got to eat lunch on the bus! LOL!
Bill and Dave are going to camp on a sidewalk in DC (they literally are) to get us tickets to the Egg Roll at the White House. The crazy thing is that they are actually excited about it! I don't know why, the homeless people do it everynight and they don't look all that happy about it! Amy and I are going to order in from the Cheesecake factory and play Wii while they freeze their Hineys off...hmmm I wonder who got the better end of that stick? I guess the President and first lady are usually there in the morning, and in the past Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers have preformed (but don't tell Amy's husband that, or my husband will be camping alone!) I'm pretty excited because they no longer give white house tours (unless you write congress to request one and then wait 6 months!) so this will be a great chance to see it up close while we are here! Y'all will have to look for us on CNN!
I know I left you hanging on the whole corker thing, but again, too lazy to download the pics. so you will have to wait! Sorry!
Brenda I am sorry to hear that Paul was in the hospital, hope he is feeling better now and everything is OK!
All right now I am going to try and not eat a whole box of tagalongs!!
Wish me luck!
