Not a Disney Post!

I know can you believe it? I bet you thought you would have to endure paragraphs and paragraphs of me gushing about our super, fantastic, totally awesome trip! Well you will!!! Just not today.

Oh. My. Goodness.

I should point out that this website has sat on my sidebar for months, and for months I have largely ignored it. Poor little website, just languishing there on the sidebar and me logging on and giving it the cold shoulder day after day!

Anyways, having an uncharacteristic bout of blog organization, I decided I should finally fix those broken links on my sidebar. Of course in order to do that I have to visit the website and get the correct URL. Well...

[insert Sponge Bob narrators voice here]
6. Hours Later....

I never made it beyond PW (pioneer woman) to fix those other broken links (poor Matt Bites...but I did make this http://www.mattbites.com/ on Cinco de Mayo and it was pretty dang yummy!)

In fact I ended up wasting the better half of a day reading this

and drooling over this

and this

and. well. there is also this-

Amy you wipe that drool of your chin at once!!! You shameful hussie!!!!

You are a married woman! And that? Well that hiney has a wife!!! And you? Work. For. The. Lord!!!! Geez some people....

I mean I know that you have a weakness for a southern drawl and a nice set of old fashioned manners, but before you load that lawn chair and a gallon of sweet tea into your trunk and head out to Oklahoma so you can camp at the end of their driveway and watch cowboys pour concrete (or rope cattle which is probably both more likely and more entertaining) like you are at a 3D matinee, take a gander at this

and this

and then there is this
(and this by the way is proof that cowboys don't really have good manners)

I Know!! I KNOW!! I totally got the lawn chair out of my trunk after I saw that!! Or...err..I would have...if I had put one in there, which I didn't. Just that I would have if I was the sort of girl who would want to watch Cowboys with good manners sweating in the Oklahoma sun...ahhh..."take me home country roads..la la la la la la...mountain mama...or errr Oklahoma! take me home where I belong...la la la..." Wait, where was I? Oh yeah sorry, I was just having myself a moment! But I'm Not that kind of girl! Never have been. Not me. No sireee. Nope!
Amy Shame on you!!! You are de. plor. able.! Really? How could you?!
(grammatically incorrect for effect. It's the new trendy thing. All the blog kids are doin' it!)
Good Grief! It's good thing I'm here for you! Maybe some of my saintliness will rub off!
But I do have a question??? So the Mall of America is great, and New York is probably fabfreakintastic, but...what do you think of a girls trip to one of those working ranches???? (for umm you of course! Because that's the sort of unselfish friend I am. I'm so great! And humble too, which of course just makes me that much greater! Wow you are sooo lucky you know me! I'm excited for you!)

Anyways! Aside from the wranglers (which are plentiful), the photos, the recipes, and the stories are a great way to waste time! The really great thing is that chances are if your husband comes home to find this

on his plate. He probably won't care what you did all day, or that you wasted it on a cattle ranch in Oklahoma! ( unless you have the sort of husband that doesn't like veggies of course, in which case the Mac'n cheese is really yummy.)
Well and to be completely honest if your husband is at all like mine, he probably doesn't really give a hoot what you did all day anyways, and just feigns interest because he has figured out that pretending to care about how you spent your precious hours improves his odds of getting a plate of this

OK so actually that is a really awful picture! You probably looked at that and thought "Good Lord woman! Nobody wants to find that on their plate, let alone feign interest in your boring life to get a piece of it!"
(Man! You guys are Harsh! What a bunch of Jerks!)

It's Chocolate cake, and even though it might not look it, it's really, really good chocolate cake!!! Dang Good! So good my chocolate cake loving husband declared it the best ever. ever. (that or he was reading the recipe title over my shoulder)

Look! I am finally blogging! Yay!
I hope everyone had a great Easter! I have some pictures that I am going to try and post if I can get my phone and itunes to play nice!
We had Easter on Monday. It rained all day Sat. and so they canceled the egg hunt we were going to on Sunday because it was too soggy still. The Easter bunny brought my kids sand pails filled with beach towels, flip flops, sunglasses, swim goggles and pool toys (all Disney themed of course!) He also sprinkled in a healthy dose of candy! After a little egg hunt at home, we went to Milburn Orchards for an egg hunt, candy scramble, a bunch of farm type activities (it was so cute...they had real live bunnies hopping around!) and a hay ride. The kids had a blast!
We are gearing up for our trip to Disney next week! I am so super excited! I have always wanted to go, and I am glad we are going while the kids are still young enough to be amazed by the characters and princess' and all that! I can't wait to see Z's face when she meets the real Cinderella! We are taking her to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique where Fairy Godmothers in training will do her hair and makeup, and get her into a gown just in time for her lunch at the castle with Cinderella...how magical is that??? (don't worry Mr. J will get his turn the next day at the T-rex cafe!)
I got a spray tan last week!! I wanted to test it out before vacation so that I was sure I wouldn't look like an oompa loompa in all our photos! It was awesome!! Why the heck have I been going to the gym?? If you want to look like you lost 10 lbs. jut go have someone hose you down with some faux sun!!!
That's really all I've got for now! How lame is that for my first post in a few weeks? Easter buckets and a spray tan...wow! My life is exciting!
I'm going to try and figure out why my pictures won't get on to my computer...

I've Got Nothin'!!!

I feel bad that I have been a lazy blogger! Sorry! I wish I had a good excuse, but I don't!
My mom wants me to post some more pics. of the kids, and I am going to do that later tonight.(she's all gimpy with at badly sprained ankle. She is complaining about having to lay on the couch all week and watch TV...I don't know about the rest of you, but to me that sounds like heaven on Earth!!)
I don't really have much to blog about, so I am just going to bore the heck out of you! Sorry in advance, and if you only make it this far in, than I completely understand!
We went to the Saint Patricks parade in DC, and when it started raining pretty heavy we just walked up the steps we were standing on and went to the Museum of Natural History (along with every other human being in DC apparently). J and Z had a blast checking out the exhibits (J could look at the dinosaur bones all day, and Z being the girly she is, loved the room with the hope diamond!) We have been before, but it's the kind of place you can go to over and over and still not see everything! While we were there we also went to the 3-D imax show Dinosaurs which was sooooo awesome! J and Z kept reaching out and trying to grab the 3-D stuff, and both jumped a million times because they thought a dinosaur was headed straight for them! They loved it! The best thing about DC is that everything (other than the spy and wax museum) is free, but looks like it should be expensive! Even the National zoo is free!
Tomorrow Z has to preform a poem in front of the kindergarten classes and parents. She chose an A.A. Milne (one of my fav. authors ever) one called "Now We Are Six" from the book of the same name. She has it down pat, and I just hope she doesn't get stage fright and freeze! It should be cute though!
I am a super dooper over planner, and have been busy planing everything Disney! (I have a spreadsheet people...with formulas...what category of crazy does that put me in!) We leave in a little over a month and to pass the time I am making us matching tees, activity and autograph books for the kids, a journal for Z, envelops for "mousekeeping" and even labels for our stroller and bags! I am probably spending more on ink than I did on the trip! Oh well, it's fun!
We have to go shopping for a little girl whose party Z is going to tomorrow, so dinner tonight is either California Tortilla, or take out from the Cheesecake Factory. I don't have it figured out beyond that!
The latest downloads on my ipod are Gives you hell, Let it rock, Womanizer (I know lame...I have Brittany Spears on my ipod) Shine Down, and Just Dance.
Brenda- Who are your AI picks?? I am all about Gokey and that guy who plays the piano (not the blind one, the other one)
Tara- I need your Lost theories...WTH is going on with that island?!
