The Monkey Bugs Meet Maryland

Hello! Welcome to our Monkey Bug Blog! The place where our family and friends can check out what our little monkey, our little bug, and mommy and daddy monkey bug are up to. My computer just hates myspace for some reason, so we thought we would give this a shot.
For those of you who live in a cave, or have somehow managed to escape our phone calls and e-mails, we are now in Maryland! I have to say that at first we kinda' hated it, but now that we are over the fact that it was not our first choice, that it was too freakin' hot to even check the mail, and there is no Urban Cafe to be found...we actually really like it! The Eastern shore is beautiful, our neighbor hood is a dream(everyone is very nice, even though we are the only ones with out a yacht, a second home, or a country club membership), and fresh crab from Chesapeake bay is really really yummy! We are surrounded by farms and our town is really small (and cute), but there is a lot to do near here! It is an easy drive to DC, New York, Colonial Williamsburg, Amish Country, and a million other interesting places. We are having a lot of fun checking out all of the new sights!
Z started preschool, and even though it is a long drive to get there, she is having a lot of fun. She has great teachers and loves all of the kids in her class. We got to go to their little Halloween parade and party the other day, it was soooo cute! One of the moms even made J his own toddler friendly treat bag, too sweet!
J has discovered candy... and I am afraid there is no turning back now! We used to loathe his obsession with shoes, but now that one sounds pretty good. It all started when the hairdresser gave him a lollipop to get him to sit still...It worked...a little too well! Now I can't get him to do anything with out bribing him with a dum dum pop! Good thing they're cheap!
Bill and are a doing well too. It's nice not living life in between inports. No matter how boring his current job is, it has him home every night. He doesn't even have duty. Yay!
It is finally cool here! The fall colors are sooo pretty, and when we woke up this morning there was Ice on our windshield. Just the way we like it! We are looking forward to the snow, and even though they don't get a ton here, 20in. is a lot more than we got in Astoria. Z had us stock up on Hot chocolate at the grocery store the other day, so we say bring on those freezing temps!

Well J just found a bag of peanut M&M's so I better go try and wrestle them away. Who ever said taking candy from a baby was easy never met my son!
