I need a nap!

So we got over 7" of snow and have been snow playing fools!!!
(stop laughing Brenda...7" is a lot of snow 'round here!)
These pictures are actually from the last time we got snow, but I just ran four continuous miles ( I usually run a mile and then walk for 5 minutes) and now I am too lazy to go and get the cord to download the pictures from my phone. So you'll just have to trust me for now when I say we are one hot pack of sledders!

Z got to go to the White house yesterday! I am not quite sure she grasps what an amazing opportunity it was. When I asked her about it she told me that she got and apple and liked the red room. She was also quite excited that they got to eat lunch on the bus! LOL!
Bill and Dave are going to camp on a sidewalk in DC (they literally are) to get us tickets to the Egg Roll at the White House. The crazy thing is that they are actually excited about it! I don't know why, the homeless people do it everynight and they don't look all that happy about it! Amy and I are going to order in from the Cheesecake factory and play Wii while they freeze their Hineys off...hmmm I wonder who got the better end of that stick? I guess the President and first lady are usually there in the morning, and in the past Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers have preformed (but don't tell Amy's husband that, or my husband will be camping alone!) I'm pretty excited because they no longer give white house tours (unless you write congress to request one and then wait 6 months!) so this will be a great chance to see it up close while we are here! Y'all will have to look for us on CNN!
I know I left you hanging on the whole corker thing, but again, too lazy to download the pics. so you will have to wait! Sorry!
Brenda I am sorry to hear that Paul was in the hospital, hope he is feeling better now and everything is OK!
All right now I am going to try and not eat a whole box of tagalongs!!
Wish me luck!

Johnny Depp=Yum

You Jack Sparrow haters are crazy! Hello??? Pirates! Swords, Danger & Damsel's in Distress... Yes Please!

Sorry I didn't blog last week, we were busy making Valentines for Z to take to her Daisy troop (we made Daisy's with lollipop centers) and to her classroom and teachers! I forgot to take a picture of her cute valentines outfit, or of the flower valentines, but her are the ones she brought for her class, alligators for the boys and butterflies for the girls! She signed her name on the back of them, help to cute them out, glued sparkly hearts on them, and stuck the lollipops in. They were a hit, and she was quite proud of her little self! (The alligators say "I'd snap at the chance to be your valentine" on their tongues...too cute!) We got the ideas for them from the Skip to my Lou blog over on my sidebar.
We also made heart shaped cake pops for her teachers, and Jacobs "teachers" at the gym. You can kinda see the round shaped ones in the cookie jar behind the valentines, but I forgot to take a picture of the heart shaped ones. If you have not caught on the the cake pop craze, you should check out the Bakerella blog, also on my sidebar. Super Adorable!!!

On Friday we had J's party. The rain melted the snow in the "mountains" (they call them that here, but honestly, they're just hills) so we took him to a little indoor water park near our house. He had a blast! When we got home we had a Dinosaur/Dragon party. He wanted shrimp (pronounced shrump in J man speech) and crab, so we made kabobs ('cause everything is more fun on a stick when you are 3) and crab legs! He loved it!

The cake is a hybrid dinosaur/dragon! He wanted it to breath fire, but it couldn't have wings! I think it came out pretty stinkin' cute considering I had only about an hour to finish it!

I have been slowly "springing" up my house, even though it is only 2o something out today and super windy! I bought pretty tulips at Trader Joes for my windowsill, and have been pulling some of my springy decorations down from the attic. We had some day's in the 70's recently, and I guess it put me in a Spring mood!
We have been madly devouring Girl Scout cookies (there are not enough treadmills in the free world to combat those chocolate coated crack nuggets!), and still have them for sale if you are interested! Z's Girl scout leader gets an order in every week, and that is just downright dangerous!
I have gone Corker Crazy!!! I'll post pics. next week...
(You like that? A little teaser to keep you comin' back for more. I'm takin' my cues from Lost and leavin' you with a cliffhanger!)
Does nobody watch American Idol??? I need some more people to make fun of Bikini Girl, and Paula (thank God for the mute button), and Crazy Tatiana with?

What a big Boy!!!

The J man is going to be 3 tomorrow!!!
I can't believe how quickly his birthday has come, time sure moves a lot faster when your aren't counting down patrols!
We finally got snow this last week and did some sledding. J loved it so much (what a difference a year makes! Last year he started crying at the sight of snow!) that we are going to take him to a nearby resort that has a golf course for sledding and an indoor pool for his birthday. Between that and a Dinosaur cake he will be in little boy heaven! I will post lot's of pics. for the G-ma's so be on the lookout!
In other exciting J related news- he is now potty trained. Yay!! He only wears underwear at home and has very few accidents. He seems to have and aversion to public pottys (can't say that I blame him) so he still uses a pull up when we go out, but hopefully he will get over that before we go to Disney in April.
We got to go watch the super bowl at Amy's! They have a giant TV and a lucky house so Bill was sure that the Steelers would do much better if we were viewing the game from there. I guess he was right! (to be truthful I didn't watch most of the game, Amy and I hid upstairs playing Wii!) We also took the kids to the Aquarium and the Beach, so other than the herpes/anarchy pizza (don't ask) it was an awesome weekend!
So that's it I guess! I am off to Jo-Annes to get some fabric for some stuff I am making for the kids, and then I have to figure out what we are going to do for Z's class and Daisey troop for V day. I guess I will probably be going to the gym too, but I need a few more cups of coffee before I am feeling that industrious! Have a great week!
Do any of you watch American Idol any more???
